Let’s Celebrate Together
This past week I was surrounded by entrepreneurs eager to learn about systems, creating leveraged income and setting up for the next level of success. Attending events with like-minded people is invigorating. Plus, it is good for business. You don’t have to be on stage speaking in order to be making sales at events.
A book was sent to each participant prior to the event. One of the topics struck a chord, the concept of tithing and spiritual food. Lisa Sasevich, the event host, elaborated on the concept. Spiritual food is receiving inspiration. As she began to tithe to people who fed her spiritual food, she noticed something changed. She began seeking spiritual food, consciously looking for inspiration.
Her reframe of spiritual food and tithing deeply resonated with me. Consider how things would be different by consciously seeking opportunities for inspiration. The focus on positive instead of negative messages each and every day would be significant. Seeking daily inspiration is rich.
As this month comes to a close I am approaching my birthday. This year’s cycle around the sun has embraced many new and wonderful changes. As I expanded my reach, the number of people who have touched my life has been exponential. There is so much to celebrate.
I have been inspired to make some bold changes. My purpose is leading me in a new direction. The time has come for a significant transition. As of next week, I will be fully engaged with Inner Game for Winning Athletes.

Preparing for Change
Have the leaves been changing by you? Right outside my bedroom window is a maple tree and the leaves are bright orange. It is breathtaking. Fall is in full swing; the seasons are in transition.
Over the past several years, I have continued to transition as well. There is always something new going on. Each step I take is one step closer to my BIG vision.
Well, I am about to take a leap in my business. If you have been following me for awhile, you know about my love for rowing. Becoming a competitive rower in my 40’s has significantly impacted my life.
Now is the time to take one more step into the world of athletes. As of November, I am fully transitioning to a new focus, The Inner Game for Winning Athletes. My clients include three levels of elite and professional athletes, heading toward state or nationals events, world games or Olympics competitions, or professional sports. My special interest is particularly athletes currently in a slump or returning to play after an injury.
There already has been a lot of interest from mom’s about their high school teens improving focus to increase the chances of receiving scholarship money or ending up in state championships.
Recently I have begun working with an athlete preparing for the 2012 Olympic Trials. I am flying to San Diego for a half-day session this week, to ensure a winning mindset while training and during competitions.
The format for my blog posts will change. It is going to have a one-minute tip on mindset and focus for improved performance instead of an article. Business and sports has many similarities; both require a winning mindset for success.

How Far Have You Stretched Yourself?
When was the last time you experimented with your business? Well, this week I took a challenge. I tested how portable my business truly is. Can I really be anywhere, at anytime, and continue to maintain my business?
Now was the opportunity to give it a try. I had two mastermind meetings in Connecticut with time in-between. I manifested an opportunity to stay in Manhattan in-between the two meetings.
During the week in New York I did house calls. Having face-to-face sessions with clients I typically work with by phone, including a half-day with a private client, was wonderful. Instead of having her travel cross country to meet with me I came to her.
We covered so much during our time together, taking a dream, clearing any energetic obstacles and then developing the game plan to turn it into a reality. Just thinking about the lives she will be impacting gives me chills down my spine.
On the flip side, my local clients, whom I usually see in my office, ended up having phone sessions with me. Working with them by phone was interesting; the biggest challenge was the time zone issue.
If nothing else, I have been having a lot of fun along the way. It has been expansive.
I now feel I can be anywhere with my computer and cell phone remaining connected with my business if needed. This is really exciting because I can see having an extended visit with my daughter half-way around the world in Israel and know my business continues to be operational.
I got more done away from the office than I expected. Distractions were at a minimum, allowing me extended periods of concentration to focus on projects. Stepping out of the office has been interesting, knowing it does not all come to a stand-still just because I am away.
You Can Make it Happen
When was the last time you wanted something so badly you were willing to do anything to make it happen? Intuitively you knew this was the right thing to do. You might not have known how it was going to happen, but you were so focused on your goal you had faith it was all going to happen some how.
Well that is how my trip to New York began. Steve and I were at the airport to go to New York this week. We were really excited about going to my mastermind meeting, we always walk away with so many amazing new ideas for my business which were way bigger than what I could have envisioned on my own.
This was the situation. Steve got his airline tickets after me. we were flying out of the same airport and meeting up in New York but ticketed on different routes.
At the last minute they announced my flight was overbooked by one seat and asked for volunteers to give up a ticket. I went to the counter, explained the situation with my husband going to New York on a different route than me.
The ticket agent looked at his second flight and said no seats were available. I asked her to look again. She gave me a questioning look, but did so. And guess what, she found one seat remaining on his flight.
His plane was already boarding and she quickly rebooked my ticket. I was so happy.
On board the first flight I was able to exchange seats with someone so Steve and I could sit together.
For the second flight I asked the woman sitting next to Steve if she would trade her middle seat for my aisle seat further back. She said “no” her husband was on board and she wasn’t able to sit with him either. Yes, those were her exact words.
So I walked to my seat and settled in. A couple minutes later she came back and said she would trade with me. I told her how much I appreciated her offer and we exchanged seats.
As Steve and I were talking he told me he believed we were somehow going to be able to fly together. I was awed at how quickly Steve set an intention and then the universe rearranged itself to make it happen.
By consciously stating an intention and fully believing it is possible, it does work out. Once you state your intention and let go of the outcome, it happens quickly. What you ask for will be given to you in the form of an opportunity. When the opportunity arrives, your responsibility is to say “yes” taking quick decisive action.
If you believe it can happen, then it can.

A Time to Celebrate
Have you noticed that some weeks are ordinary and other weeks are extraordinary? Well this past week was extraordinary. So much was packed into seven days.
Steve and I attended the Inner Game of Abundance Mindset Retreat with Fabienne Fredrickson. It was amazing. Not only did she share a lot of content, but I connected with so many people who are just like me. Entrepreneurs ready to play a BIGGER game than they imagined possible. I came home bursting with all my new ideas.
This weekend was Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Over the past week I have deeply reflected on this year, accomplishments, areas for improvement and making amends. I reached out to important people in my life. Old beliefs were released so I can continue my personal growth. Taking inventory is always a profound and moving exercise in self-discovery.
To wrap it all up, this is the week I said “I do” to sharing my life with Steve. We celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. It was the perfect ending to a week of manifestation, reflection and deep connections.

Release Something Old for Business Growth
First of all I am sending blessings to all of you for a healthy, sweet and prosperous New Year. This week celebrates Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
When I cut my hair, I took home a lock from the first snip. The intention was to find something I was ready to release and then to place that energy into the hair and let it go. The suggestion from my stylist was to bury it.
I have been holding onto it for all this time, knowing that Rosh Hashanah was coming up. During the holiday there is a ritual called Tashlich. Tashlich is about placing energy of something you are ready to release into bread crumbs or a stone and then casting that into flowing water.
Water is powerful, symbolizing cleansing, renewal and the ever changing flow of energy.
Yesterday, Steve and I took a walk over to the creek in Lithia park. Tashlich. The time was now.
We found the right spot in the park. It wasn’t where I thought it was going to be. Interesting how that happens. Now was the time to “let go.” I was ready.
I held my lock of hair in the palms of my hand. My thoughts focused on the things which have been holding me back these past several months. That energy flowed into my hair.
“I am ready to release any resistance, whether known or unknown to me, which might be preventing me from fully connecting with my purpose…”
Then I let it go. Two interesting things happened at that exact moment. Although my phone didn’t ring, it vibrated once that I had a message in voice mail (gotta love technology). The lock of hair ended up falling behind a stone in the water. I didn’t notice the stone when I let my hair go.
All I could do was trust that the current would help to gradually move the lock past the obstacle which was blocking it from freely flowing down the creek. Awareness of my blocked energy was mirrored in this moment.
It was already out of my power as soon as I let it go. There was nothing I could do to change it’s path. Instead I trusted the power of the current, my universe, would eventually wash it away downstream when the time was right.
I walked away trusting it would be set free when the moment was right. My work was done.

A Note of Appreciation
As I have continued to grow my business one thing which makes a positive impression on clients, associates and joint venture partners is the practice of communicating appreciation. Doing something which states “thank you” or “I appreciate you” in some way will set you apart from all the other entrepreneurs in your industry. Whether the gesture is large or small, it will have an impact.
Consider using Send Out cards as a thank you to joint venture partners. Send a small gift or book to a new client. Create an email template which you can use over and over, personalizing it for the recipient. If an assistant did a big job for you, or took initiative on a project, give her a gift certificate. Once you decide the best way you can say thank you to others, create a system. Write it down as part of your system and automate it. Use it over and over again. A kind word will go a long way.
On that note, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support. It continues to be an amazing journey.
